Path Linking and Sharing
Parameter Linking makes one parameter dependent on another, while Parameter Sharing allows several parameters of the same type to share a common state.
You can also define these links or shares between several Shapes items of the same type, such as Paths, Path Groups, Styles or Shape Groups.
The number of common elements will differ according to the method used, and many combinations are possible. For simplicity's sake, we'll concentrate on the most common case, Path's linking or sharing, but bear in mind that these relationships can be made on other item types.
Warning
To fully understand the fundamental differences between Linking and Sharing, we recommend that you refer to the two dedicated pages.
