Viewer Format Overriding

At the bottom left of the viewer is a list of formats, with the first preceded by Source:

  • The Source format is that of the Source connected to the Viewer and displayed at the top.
  • The other formats in the list are the Presets provided with Autograph and any others added by the user.

Overriding the Viewer format allows you to set the item connected to it to a different definition from the one that defines it.

  • You can force a new square definition on a composition whose initial aspect ratio is 16:9.
  • Change the size or Pixel Aspect Ratio of an image connected to the Viewer.

In the first case, you can connect the same composition to three different Viewers, rendering it three times with different definitions.

See the Format Overriding section for details - in particular to work on compositions with content thought to be dynamic. This makes Autograph the first solution to offer the concept of Responsive Design video.
